lyrics
bada preda bada
potrei avere solo te
se tu potessi amare uno come me
bada troia bada
::::::::::::::::::::::::
Maybe the time is ripe to introduce me
but let me explain to you first
Your cage is called Bastardo
because I see a mule in you
this room is called Bastardo
because I see a mule in you
I am the muleteer of the sea
and I will use my packsaddle as a bed
to take you and take you again
belly against belly,
because I only see a mule in you
There is no favorable wind for those who do not know where to land
I am the Raìs
a little man a little god
the highest knowledge and the worst ignorance
watch out prey, watch out
I could have only you
if you could love someone like me
watch out bitch, watch out
I could love only you
if you could love
There is no favorable wind for those who do not know where to land
Music by Marcin Malinowski and Dario Elia
Lyrics by Dario Elia
Recorded and mixed by Dario Elia
Mastered by Alex Gordon at Abbey Road Studios, London
Bastardo is a song from the concept album Raìs, an international collaborative work based on music, sounds, and images.
The name raìs was used to call the leader of the traditional red tuna fishing in the Mediterranean sea.
The history of the tuna fishing is ancient, complex and controversial, it is a jumble of religious calendars, endless superstitions, and rituals but also an incredible expression of empirical knowledge.
This version of the song is a homage to the friend and musician Marcin Malinowski. Malinowski and Elia were playing together during a brief tour in Armenia in 2013 and the original structure of the song was born during those performances.
